Se'Adoreia K. Brown – Miami Springs, Florida

A Miami native, Se’Adoreia “CeeCee” Brown started her public service career in Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department. Brown worked her way through the ranks of Local 199 starting as a dues-paying member, becoming a volunteer member organizer (VMO) and then serving as shop steward. After organizing her entire department, Brown became a full-time representative for Local 199. Brown has worked closely with other locals within Miami-Dade County to fight back against outsourcing attempts, encouraging members to fight back when their jobs were threatened.

Brown works with youth in Miami-Dade County, mentoring teenagers. Brown has worked with Miami-Dade Public Schools to employ students for the summer.

Brown is the first woman of color to be president of Local 199. A Next Wave member, she is also the youngest president to ever hold office in Local 199.
