Vicki Hall

Tallahassee, Florida

AFSCME Florida President Vicki Hall has strong roots in the labor movement, stretching back nearly four decades to when she first began driving school buses for Miami-Dade Public Schools in 1982. In 1992, she organized the first bus driver strike in Miami-Dade with over 300+ employees participating - a monumental feat in South Florida. As a result of her successful organizing efforts, she was asked to become a union steward for AFSCME Local 1184 and was later elected senior vice president for 10+ years. In 2015 Vicki went on to be elected president of Local 1184, and in March 2019 was elected president of Council 79. She is also a member of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, Coalition of Labor Union Women, and an AFSCME International Women Leadership Academy graduate.
