Patrick Moran is President of AFSCME Maryland Council 3, one of the largest unions in Maryland. AFSCME Maryland represents nearly 45,000 public service workers throughout the state who work in local, city, county, and state government as well as in higher education and the private sector.
Patrick has been fighting for working people in their struggle for dignity and respect on the job for nearly 30 years across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Patrick spent more than a decade as an Area Organizing Director for AFSCME before becoming the President of AFSCME Maryland Council 3 in 2012. He has been recognized twice by the Daily Records' Power 100, an annual list of the one hundred most powerful people in Annapolis, Maryland's state capitol.
He was elected as an AFSCME International Vice President in 2023.
